Rock 'n' Roll Soldiers came out of the British punk scene in the early 1980s. Their song 'Anthem' became something people shouted along to, and they had other tracks like 'Money Well Spent' and 'Bad Mistakes' that carried that same direct energy.
They worked with Joe Strummer from The Clash and U2's Bono on some recordings. The band put out albums including 'Hymns of the Revolution' in 1983 and 'Soldiers of Fortune' in 1987.
Their lineup included Jimmy 'Rebel' Jones, Johnny 'Thunder' Thompson, Billy 'Bones' Carter, and Chris 'Hurricane' Daniels. They kept releasing music into the 2000s with an album called 'Resurrection'.
