Rockers formed in New York City in 1983. They were a four-piece band with Jimmy Hendrix on vocals and guitar, Tommy Buzzell on lead guitar, Robert Blotzer on bass, and James Johnson on drums. They built a following playing clubs with a raw, energetic sound.
Their debut album came out in 1985, also called 'Hachet'. The title track became their signature song, a loud, aggressive anthem that connected with rock fans.
After Hendrix left the band in 1990, they kept going. They put out more albums and toured through the 1990s and 2000s, playing the kind of straightforward rock they were known for.
