Rodolfo Abrantes is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who started writing music in the mid-1990s. His song 'Isaías 9' came out in 1995 and became well-known in Brazil, drawing from biblical themes. He formed a band named after that song, and they released their first album in 1996.
That first album was called 'Isaías 9' too, and it mixed acoustic and electric sounds. The band put out a few more records over the next decade, including 'Horizonte' in 1998 and 'Diário de um Sonhador' in 2001. Other songs like 'O Dia Que Será Pra Sempre' and 'Pisaduras' are part of his catalog.
Abrantes has also worked as a pastor. Some of his music drew criticism from certain Christian groups around 2000 for incorporating secular musical styles into worship songs. He has collaborated with other musicians, including his wife Amanda and Anderson Freire.
