The character became known for the song 'Baila El Chicki Chicki,' which Ortiz wrote with a catchy melody and playful, nonsensical lyrics. That song won Spain's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest that year.
Rodolfo Chikilicuatre performed at the 2008 Eurovision contest in Belgrade, wearing a chicken costume and dancing with an inflatable banana on stage. He finished in 16th place. After Eurovision, he released an album called 'Chikilicuatre: Baila El Chicki Chicki.'
