Rodrigo e Rodrigo

Rodrigo e Rodrigo formed in São Paulo in 1991 as a duo of Rodrigo Amarante and Rodrigo Campos. Their early sound centered on acoustic guitars and close harmonies, with songs like 'Essa mulher é a malvada' catching attention in 1994. That track's particular blend of melody and lyrical directness seemed to connect with listeners in a way that defined their initial rise.

After establishing themselves, they released albums that showed some range, from 1996's 'Doce' to 2003's 'Raro'. Other songs from their catalog, such as 'Fora de Controle' and 'Sobra saudade', continued in a similar vein of melodic, guitar-based pop. The duo stopped working together for a period around 2006, with Amarante and Campos each pursuing separate musical projects.

They reunited in 2013 and began performing live again. Their later work included songs like 'O Tempo não Apagou' and 'Se não For por Amor!', maintaining the core sound their audience had come to know.
