Rodrigo Santinel came up in Rio de Janeiro in the mid-1980s, and his music has always been rooted in Brazilian sounds like samba and bossa nova. He started his band in his early twenties with a lineup that included Bruno Ozorio on bass, Lucas Mazza on drums, and Vinicius Mendes on keyboards.
Their 2012 debut album 'Sonhos' featured 'Tu És Meu Grande Amor,' a song that connected with listeners and helped them find an audience. Other tracks from that period include 'A Tua Visão' and 'Cai Chuva.'
In 2014, bassist Bruno Ozorio left the band and was replaced by Diego Galvão. A couple years later, there was some noise about the melody of 'Tu És Meu Grande Amor' being similar to another song, but the band kept working.
