ROKA

ROKA started in 2011 as a group of family members, including brothers Diego and Juan Botero and their cousin Alejandro Posada, who wanted to mix Colombian folk styles with pop. They've put out albums like their self-titled debut in 2012, followed by 'Entre Dos Mundos' in 2014 and 'A Toda Vela' in 2017, with more recent work including 'Y Ahora... ROKA' in 2019 and 'En Tono Mayor' in 2022.

Their sound pulls from traditional genres such as cumbia, vallenato, and bambuco, giving songs like 'Me Entrego' and 'Mi Eterno Dios' a rhythmic, melodic feel that nods to their roots. The music often deals with themes of love and hope, avoiding overly dramatic claims about its impact.
