Rollerskate Skinny

Rollerskate Skinny formed in Glasgow and released their debut album 'Long Gone' in 1999. The record included 'All Mornings Break,' a song that became something of a touchstone for listeners drawn to its particular blend of raw energy and quieter, more introspective moments.

Their sound shifted over subsequent albums like 'The Great Eastern' and 'Oh Death,' where they began folding in elements of electronica and psychedelia. Songs like 'Bell Jars Away' and 'Cradle Burns' from this period reflect that more layered, experimental approach.

The band's lineup changed at various points, with members including guitarist David Farrell and drummer Iain Stewart. They also worked with other artists from the Glasgow scene, like Steve Mason. In 2006, they had to re-record an album due to a legal issue over a sample, which created significant difficulties for them at the time.
