Romeofoxtrott formed in Oslo in 2004 with Lars Martin Krogstad on vocals and guitar, Christian Spro on drums, and Erland Dahlen on bass. Their debut album 'Letters from Tokyo' came out in 2006. The band's sound mixed indie rock with electronic textures and atmospheric production.
In 2010, Spro left the group and was replaced by Andreas Kjøl Berg. Their song 'Memories' became a hit in 2012, though it also brought plagiarism allegations that the band denied. They released five studio albums between 2006 and 2019, including 'Good to Go' in 2008 and 'Violet and Green' in 2011.
Krogstad, Dahlen, and Berg have been the core lineup since 2010. Their later albums like 'Elysian Fields' and 'Distant Shores' leaned into more experimental territory while keeping the melodic foundation of their earlier work.
