Pope's music has a direct, unadorned quality that connects. 'A Drop in the Ocean' is the song people know, but tracks like 'Save Me' and 'Stick Around' show the same clear-eyed approach to writing about relationships and longing. He built a catalog on his own terms after leaving his label.
He taught himself guitar and put out his first EP in 2006. After 'A Drop in the Ocean' in 2014, he left his label and has since released music independently, including the albums 'A Season' and 'Luminary'.
