Ronin Warriors formed in 1995 with vocalist Takuya Terada, guitarists Masayoshi Nakayama and Kenta Harada, and bassist Mitsuyoshi Ota. They drew inspiration from Western metal bands like Metallica and Slayer, working that influence into their own sound.
Their debut album 'Suashi no Mama De' came out in 1997, with the title track becoming a notable song for the band. They followed it with albums like 'Beyond the Darkness' in 1999 and 'The Last Samurai' in 2001.
The band went through some lineup changes, including drummer Yuji Nakayama leaving in 2002. They released six studio albums before disbanding in 2005.
