Ropes formed in 2014 in Los Angeles with Avery Welsh on vocals, Cody Doloff on bass, Cole Becker on drums, and Jett Beres on guitar. They put out their debut EP, "The Way It Is," in 2017, and the title track got some radio play. Their first album, "Elevate," came out in 2019 and included the song "Hey Contemporary."
In 2020, vocalist Avery Welsh faced public allegations of inappropriate behavior, which the band addressed openly. They've since released another album called "Circadian." Other songs of theirs include "Water And Headphones" and "What They Do For Fun."
