Roque Christine was a French pop band that formed in Paris around 1982. The group included Jean-Pierre Cristini on vocals, guitarist Michel Christine, bassist Bernard Minet, and drummer Patrick Robitaille. They released their debut album in 1986, also called 'Premiers frissons d'amour.'
The title track from that album became their signature song. 'Premiers frissons d'amour' was a love ballad that connected with listeners in France and beyond. The band toured through Europe, Asia, and South America in the years that followed.
Some critics questioned their use of synthesizers, but the group kept making music their way. Their sound from that 1986 album remains what most people remember them for.
