Bjorn Rosenstrom

Björn Rosenström came out of Sweden in the 1980s with a particular kind of songwriting that mixed humor with everyday observations. His track 'Balladen Om En Grillbit' became his most recognizable piece, but his catalog includes other songs like 'Dra Ner Din Rullgardin' and 'Farväl Leguan' that carried a similar, offbeat tone.

He released five studio albums, starting with 'Grillbit' in 1989. That record featured his signature track about a piece of grilled meat. He followed it with 'Majs' in 1991, 'Blå Har Du Blommat' in 1995, 'Du Ska Få' in 2000, and '50 år' in 2018. Rosenström worked as a solo artist, playing guitar, bass, and handling vocals himself, though he was sometimes joined by other musicians in the studio.

Some of his material drew criticism for its satirical edge and was kept off the air at times. That didn't stop a dedicated set of listeners from connecting with his straightforward, sometimes cheeky approach to writing about ordinary things.
