Rosso formed in Osaka around 2007 with vocalist Yasu, guitarists Izumi and Aika, and bassist Kyousuke. They played hard rock and heavy metal, releasing their first album 'Yakusoku' in 2009.
In 2011, their single 'Hakkou' became a mainstream hit in Japan. The song's aggressive riffs and Yasu's vocals gave them wider recognition. They followed with albums like 'Doku' and later 'Zetsu' in 2016.
In 2014, bassist Kyousuke was arrested for drug possession, which affected the band's reputation. They continued performing and recording despite this. Another notable track from their catalog is 'Nemurenai Jill'.
