Roxis formed in 2008 around singer-songwriter Luana Piovani, guitarist Gabriel Guedes, bassist Rafael Coiro, and drummer Bruno Giusti. They started playing small clubs and bars, building a following with a sound that mixed pop, rock, and samba rhythms.
In 2013, the song "Deixa Como Está" became a major hit in Brazil, pushing the band to national attention. Other songs like "E Agora" and "Liah" also became part of their set. The attention brought some criticism about their approach to Brazilian music, but they kept working.
Guitarist Gabriel Guedes left the band in 2015, which changed their lineup and sound. They continued making music, including songs like "Era Uma Vez" and "Incertezas."
