A Korean-American band that mixed rock with Spanish and English lyrics before quietly stepping back.
If you want the feel of their sound, put on 'Disappear' and 'Royal Villain'. That's the band in a couple of minutes.
Royal Pirates wrote songs that didn't stick to one language or one mood. 'See What I See' has that driving guitar line, while 'Te Quiero' pulls in Spanish phrases. They were one of those bands that showed how rock could sound when it wasn't trying to fit a single market.
They released about two dozen songs between 2013 and 2016, including 'Hasta La Vista' and 'Dark Chocolate'. The activity trailed off after that, without much public explanation.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
