RTG came out of Los Angeles in the early 2000s. The band's debut single, 'Fallin' Down,' arrived in 2005 and got them some national attention. That song had a catchy melody and lyrics that felt a bit more personal than a lot of what was around at the time.
The group was built around vocalist Lyra Rose, guitarist Damien Kane, bassist Ethan James, and drummer Jake Wilson. Their sound pulled from rock, hip-hop, and electronic music, which made them hard to pin down. They put out three albums: 'Transgressions' in 2005, 'The Edge of the Abyss' in 2007, and 'Phoenix' in 2010.
After that third album, RTG went quiet. Lyra Rose started working on solo material, and the other members moved on to different projects. The band's run was relatively short, but 'Fallin' Down' still turns up now and then.
