Rubinatos

Rubinatos formed in Portugal in 1975, during the period after the country's revolution. Their music mixed traditional folk with psychedelic sounds and carried political messages that connected with listeners at the time. The song 'Perdi o Meu Caminho' became particularly well-known, capturing a sense of uncertainty that many people felt.

They kept playing at underground shows instead. Their albums included 'Rubinatos' in 1976, 'À Flor da Pele' in 1978, and 'O Meu Nome É Rubina' in 1988.

Carlos Alberto Moniz sang and played guitar, José Mário Branco played bass, and António Ferro was the drummer. The group sometimes worked with other musicians and poets. Their music from that era still gets played and discussed in Portugal today.
