We haven’t been around for long

And little is our life span

We evolved here in this paradise

Astounding miracle full of life

We saw its beauty for a while

The unison of a peaceful cycle

We were humble living satisfied

In harmony with the wildlife

Run through the woods

Hunt to survive

Jump on a river and gaze the sky

Farm your own food

The circle of life

Sit by the fire and

Tell what you saw, It`s story time

Now we connect to praise the night

Feeling the wind

Sleep till the sunrise

Socially aware

We really care

We share the weight and life is fair

Splitting the food

Hard work and rhyme

We pray for mother earth because

Balance is law

Greed is crime

Culture gives us peace of mind

All to respect

We answered the call of the wild

How did we get this dark sun?

Technology made us fantasize

Of an ownership of space and time

We ravaged nature for a childish pride

To wealth and luxury idolize

We can cure and feed all our kind

Jump on the abyss of a binary life

Eat poisoned food

Crops multiply

But trash what no one buys

All that you saw was advertised

We are connected by shallow ties

Feelings are grim

A sad lullaby

Sleep until your device calls

Socially unaware

You really don’t care

Living for your fate and your welfare

Caring is for fools

Hearts petrified

Pray for your money because

Greed is the law

Balance is a crime

Power gives you peace of mind

No one to respect

Nature is calling and we must take a stand

Before the dawn when Death enraged will grasp our hand

In the 21th century humanity has achieved incredible highs

Through Science, Technology, Culture and Arts this could have been our era of light

But the dark interests of a few rotten apples

And our collective arrogance made us believe we were masters of Earth

Now Earth’s immune system will remind us we were nothing but a parasitic species

I want to hear you cry

Like when all the animals died

Where were you when the forest screamed?

Hidden behind your smartphone screen

No, you cannot deny

Nor point fingers to the side
