Ruído Jack formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s with Daniel Velloso on vocals and guitar, Maurício Teixeira on bass, Marcelo Drum on drums, and Sergio Santiago on keyboards. They played small clubs around the city before their 2004 debut album 'Insano' brought them wider attention.
That album's lead single, 'Epopéia Insana do Amor Não Correspondido,' became a hit on Brazilian rock radio. The song's title translates to 'Insane Epic of Unrequited Love,' which gives a fair sense of their lyrical territory. Other tracks like 'Tua Altivez Me fez Compor Um Samba Funk' and 'Zezin' followed on later albums.
Lineup changes happened over time, with Velloso remaining as the constant member. Keyboardist Roberta Miranda and bassist Edgard Scandurra were among those who came and went. In 2012, there were plagiarism accusations about a song called 'Falsa Promessa,' though those were eventually dismissed.
They released several more albums through the 2000s and early 2010s, including 'Reflexos' in 2007 and 'Colapso' in 2013.
