Ruido Paralelo formed in Porto Alegre, Brazil in 2009 with Felipe Puperi on vocals and guitar, Guilherme Almeida on bass, and Thiago Ribeiro on drums. They released their self-titled debut album in 2012, which included the track "Vamos Embora." That song became something of an anthem for them, with a groove that stuck with listeners.
Their music pulls from indie rock and post-punk, with some electronic touches. Songs like "Anti Herói" and "Inverno em saturno" show their range, moving between driving rhythms and more atmospheric moments. In 2016, drummer Thiago Ribeiro left the band and was replaced by Leandro Maia. They've put out two more albums since their debut: "Entretempos" in 2015 and "Reconstrução" in 2019. They've worked with other Brazilian artists like Ana Caetano and Vitor Ramil along the way.
