I had a beach house in Maine for Memorial Day

Right on the water

I used to get up early and sit on the porch and

Watch the water cause no one was ever there

One morning I get up and there is this lone girl sitting on the beach

My first though was she was in Oasis and I.

I had an apartment in Queens when I was younger

Outside my window you could seea little tree

I used to watch it while I got dressed in the morning

And one day this guy started coming and

Painting the tree, a new painting everyday

And I thought, this is how you build a forest

Ive moving to Dallas in a couple of days

Cause I need a change of scene

I bought myself a cowboy hat and a pair of boots

I hope I didnt miss the old west
