SACHI is a Japanese rock band that formed around 2015. The group includes vocalist Riko, guitarist Daiki, bassist Ayumu, and drummer Yuji. Their sound mixes ethereal pop and indie rock with ambient touches, built around Riko's vocals and Daiki's guitar work.
Their 2019 single "Shelter" became their breakout track, reaching listeners well beyond Japan. The song's introspective lyrics about vulnerability and relationships connected with a wide audience, and it was later featured in anime and drama series.
Before "Shelter," they released a debut EP called "In Dreams" in 2017. They followed up with the album "Night Light" and the EP "Mirage." In 2020, the band faced plagiarism allegations, which they denied before continuing with their music.
