Sacrade formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2000, with brothers Rodrigo and Vinicius Costa joined by bassist Felippe Góes and drummer Iuri Saraiva. They released their first album 'Um Dia de Sol' in 2001, followed by 'Dentro da Luz' in 2004.
Their song 'Castelo de Areia' became a radio hit in Brazil around 2005. The band continued releasing albums including 'Ontem, Hoje e Sempre' in 2007 and another called 'Castelo de Areia' in 2011.
Other songs in their catalog include 'Dama da Noite', 'É Assim', 'Insanity', and 'Mask Of Death'. Their music moved from folk elements toward more experimental and electronic sounds over their four studio albums.
