Sada Vidoo was a New Wave band from the early 1980s with Michael Dearly on vocals and guitar, James Ezra on bass, David Lee on keyboards, and Paul Henderson on drums. They released just one self-titled album in 1983. Their song 'China Doll' became their most recognizable track, with its layered harmonies and what some described as an ethereal quality.
That one album contained other songs like 'The Actress' and 'Northern Lights,' but 'China Doll' is what people remember. The band didn't last long, and Dearly died in 1992. Their music still gets played by people who like that particular early-80s sound.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
