Safeband was a Colombian rock band with Francisco Javier Manrique on vocals, Cristian Camilo Galindo on guitar, Juan José Vásquez on drums, and Santiago Mauricio Buelvas on bass. They released albums including Miradas, Tiempo, Revolución, and Capturados.
Their song "Capturado" became particularly well-known, along with "Incomparable." The band's lyrics sometimes addressed social issues in Colombia, which drew both support and criticism.
They worked within the Colombian music industry, which presented its own challenges for artists. Their music blended rock with elements of Colombian folk traditions.
