Saga Back came out of Canada's rock scene in the 1980s. They signed with Attic Records and put out their first album, 'Chapters,' in 1981. A couple years later, their singer Michael Sadler left to go solo, which was a big deal at the time. The band brought in Steve Negus to take his place.
They kept making records after that, like 'Silent Knight' and 'Heads or Tales.' Some of their songs that people still know are 'Cry,' 'Heaven's Not Ready,' and 'There You Go... Again.' By the late '80s, things got harder as music trends shifted and the label situation got complicated.
Saga Back kept touring and putting out albums through the '90s anyway, building a core audience that stuck with them. They never really stopped, even when the spotlight moved elsewhere.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
