A pair from Bahia and Paraíba who made forró popular in the 2000s.
If you want to hear what they do, try "Encosta N'eu" or "Inevitavel". They're both solid examples of that forró rhythm they built everything on.
They landed a Troféu Imprensa for Best Forró Band in 2005 and 2006, and their music turned up in Brazilian soap operas. Songs like "Bebe e Vem Me Procurar" and "Ponto G" kept the dance floors moving long after their 2004 hit "Banho de Chuva" first caught on.
Assisão from Salvador and Raí from Campina Grande started playing together in 1998. They put out albums like "Forró do Pretinho" and a live São Paulo recording, and kept going even after Assisão's 2013 arrest was cleared.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
