Salvador Beltrán started playing solo in Mexico City in the early 2000s, working with a raw style that drew from Mexican folk traditions. His debut album 'A Veces Me Pregunto' came out in 2006, and its title track became a hit across Latin America.
He followed that with albums like 'Días de Luz' in 2009 and 'El Silencio de la Ciudad' in 2012. Songs such as 'Te Sueño' and 'Por Si Vienes' show his preference for reflective, poetic lyrics about solitude and searching.
Beltrán's live band has included his brother Omar on bass and Jorge González on drums. His later work includes 'La Noche de los Sueños' from 2016 and 'Canciones para Momentos' released in 2020.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
