Salvaon formed in 1996 in Catalão, Goiás, with four childhood friends: Breno Souza on vocals, Eduardo Mendes on keyboards, Rafael Vieira on guitar, and Vinícius Persin on drums. They released their debut album 'Pra Te Entender' in 2002, which found success in Brazil. Their 2004 album 'Aqui Com Você' followed, and a 2006 single combining that title with 'Uma Coisa' became a chart-topping hit.
Their catalog includes songs like 'Amor Maior' and 'Te Esperamos,' along with collaborations such as 'Reis Dos Reis' featuring Alessandro Vilas Boas and 'João' with Brunão Morada. They've recorded live albums in Rio de Janeiro and acoustic sessions, with studio work continuing into the 2010s.
In 2015, the band was involved in a legal dispute over unauthorized use of 'Uma Coisa' in a political campaign. They've maintained a presence in Brazilian music with a mix of pop, rock, and local rhythms.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
