Salvapantallas

Salvapantallas started as a collaborative project between Aleix Mariner and Martí Maymó around 2014. They put out their first EP, 'La Playa,' the following year. The band's sound has moved through different phases, from the indie-pop feel of their 2018 album 'La Vida Moderna' to the more electronic textures on later records like 'El Astronauta' and 'Terraza.'

Songs like 'R.I.P.' and 'Como Antes' show their tendency toward introspective writing. Their lyrics often touch on personal themes that some listeners have found relatable, while others have occasionally questioned their tone. The band has generally kept to their own approach rather than shifting in response to outside opinions.

They've built a catalog that includes the tracks 'Si Me Voy,' 'Vueltas,' and 'Chhkp.' Their work doesn't stick to one genre, pulling from synth-pop and ballad styles as much as from their earlier guitar-based arrangements. It's the kind of output that feels more like a series of explorations than a single defined sound.
