Samba D'Ju formed in Rio de Janeiro around vocalist Ju Moraes, with guitarist Pedro Fróes, bassist Rodrigo Campello, and drummer Gabriel Peres. Their first album, 'Roda Viva,' came out in 2005, mixing samba with rock and funk. They followed it with 'Oficina' and later records like 'Vermelho' and 'Ode ao Samba.'
Some of their songs include 'Em Suas Mãos,' 'Falsa Baiana,' and 'Mundo Distante.' The track 'Vermelho' from their 2010 album of the same name got attention for its melody and lyrics about love and loss, though it also drew plagiarism claims that were later dismissed. The band kept working after that, trying different styles in Brazilian music.
