Samestate formed in Hamburg around 2009, with Jannik Brunke and Philip Jäk starting the band. They were joined by Johannes Gunkel on bass and Boris Eggen on drums. Their debut album 'Dysphoria' came out in 2012.
Their 2014 album 'Awake' included the single 'Wake Me Up.' The band's third album, 'Come Down,' arrived in 2016. Some of their songs include 'Realign,' 'King,' and 'Symphonies.'
They released another album called 'Unbreakable' in 2019. The group's music draws from alternative rock and electronic influences.
