Sami is a Brazilian pop-rock band that formed with three members: Lucas Lima on vocals, Maria Gadú on guitar, and Filipe Catto on bass. They released their first album, Volume 1, in 2013, which included the single 'Minha Direção.' That song became one of their better-known tracks, along with 'Só Eu Sei' and 'Thinking About You.'
They followed up with Volume 2 in 2015 and Volume 3: Pós-Apocalipse in 2017, which was a concept album about love and loss in a post-apocalyptic setting. In 2018, they put out a live album called Ensaio, and Volume 4 arrived in 2020.
They haven't shied away from that in their lyrics or public statements, even as they've continued to release albums and play shows.
