He kept recording through that period, putting out albums like "Samuel do Prado 2" in 1997 and "É O Axé" the following year.
He worked with musicians like Léo Macedo, and released several more records into the early 2000s, including "Vai Balançar" in 2000 and "Levanta o Astral" in 2002. The sound remained rooted in those Brazilian styles that first shaped his music.
