Samuel Escoto grew up in Mexico City, where he was raised in a Christian household. The traditional Mexican hymns he heard there would later shape his approach to writing worship music. He started composing songs as a teenager, forming a small choir to sing them.

In 1996, he released the album 'Alabad al Rey De Gloria,' which became his breakthrough. The title track, along with songs like 'Dios de Imposibles' and 'Eres Grande,' helped establish him as a voice in contemporary Christian music. He later formed a band called Alabad.

He has continued to record, including a 2008 live album called 'Aleluya' and a 2015 collaborative project titled 'Generación de Adoradores.'
