San Lima formed in 2010 when Dayse, Laércio, and Raffael met at a church in Belo Horizonte. They started playing at local churches and events, building a following before releasing their debut single 'Eis-me Aqui' in 2013. That song became their breakthrough, reaching the top of Brazilian charts and establishing them as a recognizable name.
After Raffael left in 2015 to pursue solo work, the band added drummer Leandro Coppi. They've released several albums including 'Tudo Novo' in 2014, 'Na Sua Presença' in 2016, and 'Restituição' in 2018. Another of their well-known songs is 'Quero Viver Só Para Ti'.
In 2018, the band faced accusations that 'Eis-me Aqui' bore similarities to another song, though they maintained the work was original. They've continued recording, with albums like 'Dá-me Mais de Ti' in 2020 and 'O Céu se Abriu' in 2022.
