Santão e Marcondinho were a Brazilian duo from Belo Horizonte who started performing together in the late 1970s. Their music mixed sertanejo and samba, and they built an audience playing in bars and clubs around that time. They released their first album in 1987.
One of their best-known songs is "Adeus Pai João" from 1993. That same year they put out the album "Brasil Sertão."
Other songs people remember include "Salário Dobrado," "Armadilha do Amor," "As Aparências Se Enganam," and "Choro No Cais."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
