Archive material and source history

Santiago y Luis Auserón were brothers from Zaragoza who started making music in the late 1970s. Their first album came out in 1980, and they went on to record several more through the decade, including 'La ley del desierto / La ley del mar' in 1984 and 'De un país en llamas' the following year.

They had a few songs that stuck around. 'Las Malas Lenguas' was one of those, with lyrics that felt sharp and a melody people remembered. Other tracks like 'Por un hechizo' and 'Ya es domingo' also became part of what people knew them for.

The group included Santiago on vocals and guitar, Luis on bass and vocals, and other musicians like Javier Pérez Grueso on drums and Enrique Sierra on guitar. They put out their last studio album, 'El loco de la calle', in 1990.
