Saphir

Saphir is a French musical ensemble that released their debut album 'Silencieux Amoureux' in 2003. The title track from that album became one of their most recognizable songs, establishing their presence in contemporary pop music.

Led by vocalist Emilie Simon, the group included drummer Vincent Taeger, bassist Laurent Vernerey, keyboardist Nicolas Errera, and guitarist Olivier Libaux. Their sound developed through these core members working together, creating atmospheric arrangements that supported Simon's vocals.

Their discography includes albums like 'La Vie en Rose' from 2006 and 'Françoise Hardy' from 2010. They've also released songs like 'Shot In The Night' and '3 A.M.' that continued their exploration of melodic pop with French sensibilities.

While some critics found their approach sentimental, they maintained their musical direction through several releases, including 2014's 'My Old Friend' which touched on nostalgic themes.
