Sara Gazarek grew up in Pacific Palisades, California, and studied at the Berklee College of Music. Her debut album 'Yours' came out in 2005, and she's recorded songs like 'Cheek To Cheek' and 'Blackbird/Bye Bye Blackbird'.
She's worked with musicians including Joshua Redman and Billy Childs. Other albums include 'Blossom & Bee' from 2008 and 'Thirsty Ghost' from 2015.
Some listeners have found her approach to jazz unconventional, but she's kept to her own style. Her voice has a clear, warm quality that handles complex harmonies without much strain.
