Sara Não Tem Nome formed in Vitória, Brazil in 2012 with Larissa Conforto on vocals, Marcos Ruffato on guitar, Eduardo Mendonça on bass, and Luiz Felipe Botelho on drums. The band's name translates to "Sara Has No Name," which came from their interest in moving past conventional labels.
Their 2016 single "Geografia" became a breakout track, helping them reach a wider audience in Brazil. They've released three albums: a self-titled debut in 2015, "Romance" in 2018, and "Cordas" in 2021. Other songs in their catalog include "Jolly In The Moon," "Agora," and "Dias Difíceis."
Their music draws from indie rock, bossa nova, and Brazilian popular music. They've maintained the same lineup since forming, with Conforto handling most of the songwriting.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
