Sara Ramirez was born on August 31, 1975, and grew up in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. She sang in choirs and did musical theater early on. In 2004, her debut single 'The Story' came out and got a lot of attention. It's one of the songs people still know her for, along with 'Always' and 'Chasing Cars'.
After that, she put out albums like 'Sara Ramirez' in 2005 and 'The Real Me' in 2007. She worked with musicians like Michael Bearden on piano and Dan Warner on bass. Her live band has included guitarists like Mark Whitfield and background singers such as Sabrina Charles.
She's also recorded with other artists, including Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. The 2010 collection 'The Essential Sara Ramirez' gathered some of her material. Her voice shows up on holiday tracks too, like 'Silent Night'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
