The Saragossa Band formed in Zaragoza, Spain in 1973, originally calling themselves Zaragoza 2000. Their first album was "Hombres de Hierro," but it was their 1975 release "Disco Boogie Boogie" that gave them their breakthrough. The title track became an international disco anthem, and they followed it with songs like "Agadou" and "Aiko Aiko."
Fernando Arbex was the band's vocalist, with Armando de Castro and Jesús Gluck on guitar, Javier Lasarte on bass, and Luis Gimeno on drums. They released several more albums through the late 1970s and early 1980s, including "Rock de España" in 1976 and "Esa mujer" in 1978.
They kept recording into the 1980s with albums like "Bendita juventud" in 1981.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
