Saraya was a British-American rock band that formed in the early 2000s. Their debut single 'Love Has Taken Its Toll' became their breakthrough hit, establishing them with a sound that mixed melodic alternative rock and soaring vocals. The band's core lineup included lead vocalist Paige Stanley, guitarist Johnny Blank, bassist Chris Gedney, and drummer Nick Nash.
They released three studio albums in the 2000s: 'Your Voice' in 2003, 'World Electric' in 2006, and 'The Highway' in 2009. Other songs like 'Healing Touch' and 'Drop The Bomb' showed their range within that melodic rock territory. Their record label, Universal Music, went through mergers and restructuring during this period, which created some uncertainty for the band.
In 2009, Paige Stanley left the group. Johnny Blank took over lead vocal duties, and Saraya continued without her. They released one more album, 'The Storm', in 2012 before disbanding in 2015.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
