Sasha, Benny y Erik formed in 1991 as a Mexican pop trio with Sasha Sökol on vocals, Benny Ibarra on keyboards, and Erik Rubin on guitar. Their self-titled debut album came out the following year and included the hit 'Esta Noche,' which helped establish them with its danceable energy and Sasha's distinctive voice.
They released two more studio albums, 'Segundos Fuera' in 1993 and 'Tres' in 1995, maintaining their popularity in Latin America. Songs like 'Sin Ti' and 'Cada Beso' showed their knack for melodic pop that connected with listeners.
Sasha left the group in 1995 to pursue solo work, and Benny and Erik continued as a duo for a time. The trio's recorded output includes a live album and a compilation before their active period wound down.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
