Satans's a Woman formed in Los Angeles in 2009 with vocalist Una Crimson, guitarist Symphony Angel, bassist Athena Zero, and drummer Lilith Hex. Their name and lyrics drew criticism from some religious groups and conservative listeners early on, which made it harder to book shows at mainstream venues.
They released their debut EP 'Eat Your Brain' in 2011, and the title track gained traction on underground music blogs and radio stations. That song's popularity helped them land a major label deal and go on tour. Another track, 'Stay High,' also appears among their most recognized work.
As they became more visible, their lyrics about violence, sexuality, and the occult led to accusations of being inappropriate. Some media outlets and organizations censored or boycotted their material.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
