Satou Kenta formed the band Satou Kenta Matsubara in Osaka in 2014. Their debut single 'Shippo Piki Piki' came out in 2016 and caught on quickly, becoming something of a viral hit with its catchy, offbeat pop sound.
That song, along with tracks like 'Zigzag Seishun Road' and 'DANCE! Tokimeku Kokoro', helped build a following. The music often had an eccentric, playful quality that stood out, though the specifics of any controversies or dramatic scrutiny mentioned elsewhere feel overstated.
