Satrox came together in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, with Robb McEwen on vocals and guitar, Aaron Thompson on bass, and Todd Barnes on drums. Their first album, simply called 'Satrox', came out in 1983. It had a song on it called '(Love Is) More Than a Feeling' that got a lot of radio play and did well on the charts.

They put out a few more records after that, like 'Nightmares and Dreams' in 1985 and 'All Night Long' in 1987. The lineup changed a bit over those years; Thompson left in 1985 and Steve Smith came in to play bass. Other songs from their catalog include 'Powerlights' and 'River To Nowhere'.
